Some photos from the Super Model Car Sunday cruise and model car show, which always attracts good numbers of well prepared street machines and hot rods, as well as plenty of interesting models.... Here are a couple of shots from the day, the rest can be found at www.HighOctanePhotos.c...lCarSunday

...even a Lotus Esprit...

...The cruise had everything you could hope for.

The cruise was written and run by Craig from Stickshift Magazine, and publicised in The West Australian and on Cruizin' on Channel 31, as well as the Cruizin' website ( www.Cruizin.com.au ).

Approximately 150 cars turned up at the meet point, mostly hot rods and kustoms, with a number of street machines and late model cars also present. The cruise route headed from Carousel, along Orrong Rd to the coast, and made a detour via Scarborough before heading up the freeway to Roe Highway and passing by Cool Rides and Classics on the way to the model car show at the West Coast Street Rod Club's clubrooms in Malaga.

The model car show attracted a fair few entrants, 80 in fact, and between them, they had 647 models on display inside the clubrooms of the organising club, the West Coast Street Rod Club.

Results:
People's Choice - Rob Todaro - Pro Street Monaro
Entrant's Choice - Stach - Custom painted Dodge Viper
Best Junior Model - Chris Loye - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo with working neons
Best Truck Model - Shaun Fishlock
Best Junior Paint - Kody Pova - Z28

And there was just as much to look at outside as inside...

Doc's Willy's gets the job done in about 9 seconds....
