Peters By The Sea is a kebab/fish'n'chip joint along the strip in Scarborough. Peters has been around for longer than I can remember, and has always had good food and a pretty good atmosphere too. Their recently rebuilt main eating area is very well sized and well set up.

The cruising strip out the front used to be a great part of the attraction at Peters, coupled with the parking directly over the road this meant a nice spot to park your ride and some nice scenry to watch as you ate your meal. Recent attempts by the local cops and council to 'reduce hoon activity in the scarborough area' have seen the cruising strip blocked at one end and half the carpark space go missing. so your forced to park your pride and joy in the poorly lit lower level carpark, surrounded by p platers in commodores and drunk car-whores.

Peters By The Sea has great food, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back, but you ca't help but feel that the 'anti hooning' attempts have not only failed to actually make you feel safer about leaving your car out of view, but have also detracted from the atmosphere of the Scarbourough beachfromt strip.
