The Final Three.....

Big Al's HOTTUB had to be a contender.... It's been one of the flagship rods in WA for some time now....

One thing that really drags me towards a well built hot rod is the attention to detail... I'm sure I should have noticed Big Al's header plugs long ago.... but I didnt.... and I reckon they're a pretty decent touch....

LadyLuck.... another very nice, very detailed piece of machinery....

The amount of shiny bits in this engine bay really did have me stunned... very very tidy... and if i'm not mistaken, another of the growing legion of LPG powered rods...

this ol' Merc also caught my attention... mainly because I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this particular model before... it even slipped under the radar on the occasional search thru the photo pages at the 'auto hobby page'
So what were the final positions?
Well... I've put the Merc in 3rd, but only because it wasn't sporting a lot of obvious mods... and while I love a rat rod as much as the next bloke... it didnt seem to really push that concept either... it was a nice car, just didn't take my pick of the day.... maybe with a fresh coat of paint it would have done it.... Rarity really works for me...
In 2nd, I put Big Al's tub.... even tho it seems pretty much unchanged over the last few years, i'm still finding new little details I didnt pick up before... which keeps it placing high on my list of cars to take photos of....
In first place, obviously, I put the other car on the list... LadyLuck... the sheer amount of shiny bits... plus the fact that the car rolled up and it's builders and carers immediately started polishing every little bit to get it ready for the show... The gas setup on this car is one of the tidiest I've seen.... When I look back at the photos, I start drooling
